The instrument is made of non-stick material and has two different-sized ends for different sizes of B/S-brace. A magnet holds the B/S-brace in place on the applicator which makes it easier to apply the brace to the nail. The magnetic applicator may not be sterilised as then the magnet would no longer be magnetic!
